1️. Buy with a friend or family member - this way, you can split all the costs and fees as well as the down payment. You will likely qualify for a larger mortgage as well.
2️. Buy smaller - instead of waiting to buy your dream home, get into a smaller property that you can live in for a few years, then make the leap into something bigger and better down the road.
3️. Drive until you qualify - if you can’t afford to buy in downtown Toronto, that’s ok! There are plenty of great surrounding neighbourhoods that offer transit into the city, and cost far less then a more centrally located home.
